Beach Bar

The “lampara” brings back to mind ancient and mostly forgotten fishing techniques, as well as the heroic deeds of fishermen who went out every night with their boats to collect what the sea had to offer.

It’s a traditional and powerful lightning fixture mounted on fishing vessels and used at night to make fish rise to the surface.

Lampara is what we chose to name our beach.

Historic Location

Enviably and centrally located on the Sestri Levante seafront, our ‘La Lampara’ beach club is one of the longest established in town. The matchless view on the Portofino headland gets even more enthralling at sunset.

In 2008 our family, who already owned the ‘El Pescador’ restaurant, decided to take over ‘La Lampara’ beach club to round off and integrate Sestri Levante’s tourist offer.

Cosy Ambience

Our aim was to ensure the beach club guests too could enjoy a familiar and welcoming environment, a niche destination with lots of privacy due to the limited number of beach umbrellas. We also wanted to create an informal dining spot with high-quality cuisine.  We have succeeded because, to date, Bagni La Lampara has a select and loyal clientele with whom we have established a relationship that goes beyond mere acquaintance. As with all our activities, we have worked hard to personalise the bathing establishment, without distorting its history, but focusing on the inclusion of green areas that dress the bar area and provide shade and coolness to guests.
